BiLD Architects is an architectural design firm based in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

With over 50 years of combined experience in building design and project management, we provide full architectural design services and approach each and every project with the utmost attention to detail. Our services entail a team-based interactive design process involving the Client, the Architectural and Engineering Team, and full collaboration with the Client’s Contractor, from the inception of the project through design and construction, and ultimately to completion.

Bevan Brawner

Bevan Brawner

AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Bevan graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture in 1999. Prior to co-founding BiLD Architects in 2014, Bevan practiced Architecture in Northwest Arkansas focusing on educational, religious, commercial, and residential projects. Bevan is a registered Architect with the State of Arkansas, Colorado, and Texas. He is also a LEED accredited professional with a specialty in Building Design + Construction. Bevan spends his time outside of the office playing guitar and relaxing on the patio with his wife, Melissa, and their three dogs.

Clay McGill

Clay holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture. Clay is one of the founding members of BiLD Architects, where he currently serves as Principal Architect for over 10 years. At BiLD he has served as Project Architect on various K-12 educational, religious, healthcare, and commercial projects. Prior to BiLD, Clay spent over 10 years serving as project manager, Architect, and Associate with other architectural firms in Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock. Clay is a registered Architect in Arkansas, Missouri, and Alabama and currently resides in Fayetteville, AR, with his wife Sara and their four children.

Michael Spaeth

AIA

Michael holds a degree in Architecture from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture. Michael is one of the founding members of BiLD Architects, where he currently serves as Principal and has been actively managing projects and representing his clients at the federal, state, and local levels for over 10 years. Prior to BiLD, Michael spent 15 years serving as project manager, architect, and vice president with other architectural firms in Northwest Arkansas and Germany. Michael’s area of design expertise includes public school education, religious, healthcare, and commercial. Michael is a registered architect in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Indiana. He currently resides in Bentonville, AR, with his wife Tina and his three daughters.

Graham Gordon

Architect and Studio Manager

Graham is a licensed Architect and BiLD Architects’ Studio Director. Graham joined BiLD Architects in 2018 upon graduation from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. As Studio Director, he fosters growth and productivity, as well as, mentors staff in their job duties and their pursuit of licensure. A lifetime resident of Northwest Arkansas, Graham knows that each design will leave a lasting impact on the community, and he is committed to upholding the ideals that BiLD Architects prides themselves on.

Jackson Harris

Jackson Harris

Project Manager

Jackson graduated from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design in 2024, earning a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in History of Architecture and Design. During his studies, he gained valuable experience as a teaching assistant and design camp counselor, nurturing his passion for architecture and education. Originally from North Little Rock, AR, Jackson now contributes his skills as an architectural designer at BiLD Architects in Northwest Arkansas while pursuing licensure.

Cade McCullough

Cade McCullough

Project Manager

Cade started at BiLD as a student intern in 2022 and joined full time in 2024 after graduating from the University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. He currently resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife, Olivia, and loves the outdoors. Cade is currently pursuing licensure and has a passion for sustainability in design, believing that we are responsible for the future of the built environment, and as Abraham Lincoln said, “The best way to predict the future is to design it.”

Office Manager

Melissa Brawner is the Office Manager at BiLD, where she applies her Business degree from the University of Arkansas to optimize the firm’s operational efficiency. She lives in Fayetteville with her husband, Bevan, and their three dogs. Melissa balances her professional life with her passions for photography and gardening. Her eye for detail and love for nature bring a unique perspective to both her work and her hobbies.

Brandon is a dedicated student at the University of Arkansas’ Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. After completing his second year, he joined the BiLD team in the summer of 2024. Raised in Northwest Arkansas, Brandon possesses a profound sense of pride and responsibility in his work, driven by a desire to give back to the community that shaped him. Brandon’s involvement in BiLD reflects his commitment to his deep-rooted understanding of the region’s unique needs and aspirations, aiming to create meaningful and enduring impacts on his hometown.

Eddie Franklin

Eddie is a 4th year architecture student at the University of Arkansas and joined BiLD as a 2nd year student. As a student intern Eddie brings creativity and enthusiasm to the office. While working to grow in technical and practical proficiency, Eddie contributes to preliminary design, construction documents, and assists in other tasks around the office. He aims to impact the lives of those in Northwest Arkansas through designs that they see and interact with every day.
